It offers clean backup power during utility outages and can also help store solar energy, reduce demand charges, or avoid peak utility rates.
Rebates:
BC Hydro is offering a rebate for energy storage. Homeowners can receive up to $5,000 for energy storage, or $500 per kWh of installed storage capacity. Businesses can receive up to $25,000 for energy storage, or $500 per kWh of installed storage capacity.
