What's available through the initiative?

700,000 grants of up to $5000 to help homeowners install a solar energy system onto their home.
EnerGuide evaluations of up to $600 for expert advice to homeowners so they can begin to plan their solar energy system installation

 How much is reimbursed for a solar energy system?

You can be reimbursed up to $5000 for installing solar panels on your home. The system must be at least 1.0kW of peak power capacity or higher to participate. In other words, for every 1.0kW of solar panels installed you would receive $1000, up to a maximum of $5000 – or 5.0kW worth of solar panels. Solar panels range in power output so the quantity of them installed on your home will be different for everyone.

 Where do I start to apply for the grant?

How do I book an EnerGuide evaluation?

When you register for the initiative, you will search using your postal code and select a service organization in your area to complete the home evaluation service. The energy advisor can use the calculation tools provided by greenerhomes solar to generate a full solar analysis for your home
